Many unfollower apps ask for your Instagram password so they can read your account. That hands your credentials to a third party and creates login activity Instagram can flag. UnfollowScout never logs in and never acts on your account: you see the list, and you decide who to unfollow yourself in the Instagram app.
No. UnfollowScout never asks for your Instagram login. You request your own data export from Instagram and upload that file. Instagram may ask you to confirm your password on its own page when you request the export; UnfollowScout never sees it.
No, and that's deliberate. Live trackers need access to your account. UnfollowScout compares two exports of your own data: each time you upload a newer export, it shows who unfollowed you since your previous scan. Once a month is enough for most people.
“Doesn't follow you back” means accounts you follow that don't follow you, and you see it from your very first scan. “Unfollowed you” means people who followed you in an earlier scan and don't any more, so it needs at least two scans.
